Brenda is a first generation Canadian quilter who taught herself to sew at an early age on her Mom's converted treadle sewing machine.

Even as a kid Brenda was convinced that Mankind’s greatest invention was thread. She found that she could make almost anything from it woven or unwoven. Brenda tried many other art forms over the years but kept coming back to the needle arts and sewing. After marrying into a family with deep roots in quilting it’s no surprise that she has embraced the wonderful world of quilting.

Brenda has been severely and irreversibly bitten by the quilting bug and loves to inspire others through her work, her classes and her trunk show. She designs her own quilting patterns under the name "Among Brenda's Quilts" and travels with her trunk show and lecture entitled “Developing the Designer in You”.
